Renovations Gone Wild!

I know what your thinking ladies...what a babe! At least that is the
thought that keeps coming to my mind...

Since we moved in we have been doing some good ol renovating. Luckily as you can see above we have a lot of help! Both from friends, family but mostly professionals! Jett wasn't only a huge help unpacking he has been really helping his dad with renovating.
I am not sure The Husband fully appreciates his help ;)

Before
First thing on our Agenda was to extend the arch way from
3 feet to 7 feet. All of that glorious natural light that we now have makes me head over heels happy...I am really a little bit giddy! And not to mention it completely opened up the kitchen. We were able to reuse the cabinets that were behind the wall of the arch and put them in our garage.Basically it was a win win!

During
next thing was to paint over the glazing. Check. And remove the laminate, travertine and carpet. Triple check. And of course install this chandelier!

After
now all we have left is to paint baseboards frame out windows and add some window treatments.

artwork and furniture are most definitely  right up there on the ol to do list!

Lets move something together

We just moved into our lovely new home.

I really don't mind moving....it's the packing up my last home that I am always less then thrilled about. Suddenly my priceless possessions completely lose their novelty.

So here are a few little tid bits and tips that will hopefully make your next move
simple{er}.....well slightly.

  • Good bye bubble wrap hello saran wrap dispenser. when we were able to saran wrap our dining room table in a matter of minutes instead of takeing it apart. I knew the saran wrap dispenser and I would be getting along super well. And we did. Pretty much BFF now.
  • Heavy Duty packing tape gun. I don't think there are words for the way I feel about this little time saver.
  • while dumpster diving for cardboard boxes can be fun, plastic bins are wonderful.
I don't think I have to explain that one.

And the last thing  you will need with out question

is

a little helper on your hip..... the entire time.
