Look who is 7 weeks old! (tomorrow)

My Madre dear friend Wendy sent me an awesome surprise in the mail!! That adorable rug! Jett seemed to feel pretty comfortable on it because the second I took off his diaper he pooped, peed, and spit up.....that put an end to our little photo shoot. How do you get poo off of faux fur??

  1. i love these pictures! good luck on getting the poop out of the rug! it's so funny how as soon as you take off the diaper, they let it allll out! haha. jett is adorable!!! first of all, im so jealous you grew up in oregon! clinton and i went there last summer and just drove up the coast, soooo gorgeous! we want to live there someday, clinton is going to school right now in hopes of becoming a physicians assistant someday, we really want to get into a PA school in oregon! but that is a few years away! right now we live in cedar city, its such a great little town, if you and kyler ended up coming here i think you would love it!... we sure do! except for the winters, but i guess you get used to them. :) about jetts little lop sided head problem... our doctor told us just to stop putting him on his back, only do that for diaper changes and clothes changes of course, just avoid it when possible. he said it's important to fix the head problem now before they can roll over on their own and you have no control over it. so, what we are doing now, and what our doc told us to do, sleep him on his belly during the day, but only when you can be close enough to check on him veerrry often! (maddox hates being on his belly, so we struggle with this) but belly time is way important. also, at night, sleep him only on his side, just prop up a rolled up blanket behind him, but only put him far enough on his side that his head will fall to the side, not all the way on his shoulder, otherwise he could accidently roll on his belly, make sense? ha. so during the night i just put him down on one side, then after i feed him in the night ill put him back down on the opposite side and so on. i have been doing this for about a week and can already tell its getting more rounded out! maddox did the same thing as jett, he'd favor putting his head to one side, and when he was asleep i'd turn it to the other side, but he would always just turn it right back! wow sorry this is so long! but about the sleeping schedule, he used to eat ever 2 hours in the night! up until about 2 or 3 weeks ago. my sister has a good friend who is a lactation specialist, she said that if for a few days you feed them as often as you can, every hour if possible (maybe not feed for as long though)start doing this in the morning, say you wanted him to go to bed at eight at night, start the rapid feeding days at eight in the morning. so for about twelve hours he is eating more often. after a few days of this, its supposed to teach them that day time is for eating, and night time is for sleeping, because they will get so much food in the day they won't need it so much at night. you can try it! maddox actually kinda did it on his own, i started to try it, but i think he was growing because he demanded to be fed almost every hour on his own for about a week, then one night he slept for six hour straight, it was like that for a while, now he sleeps for 8 hours straight! also, you probably already do this, but i also just make sure to give maddox a bath at around the same time every night, and use that amazing bedtime bath, then i nurse him, then he sleeps amazingly! its been great, sleep is magnificent! i missed it!! haha. if you dont feel like trying that though, i would just wait till he is about two months and see if the does it on his own, cause thats what maddox did. i hope that helps you, if not im reallly sorry, good luck! sorry again for writing such a HUGE comment, i tend to over explain things and type way too much...
