My greatest hope is that my children will grow up to be the
Michael Phelps and Gabby Douglas
of their own lives.
The inspiration to make gold medals for my own little olympians came from my very detailed five year old hand print (inspiration below.) The Miss and Misters turned out less detailed and more fossil like,

but we had so much fun.....except for maybe the Mister, he sampled the dough...definitely not gluten free ;)
you can find the recipe we used right here.
My freshman year of biology we were learning about the reproduction system and my professor drew this comic on the white board....I don't think it will never not be funny to me..HA...HA
Happy Olympics

They are so cute!! LOVE them!
ReplyDeleteI love this idea!! Maybe by the next Olympics, my kids will be old enough to participate in the project, and wear their medals with pride. :) Of course, being preggers as I am, at first I thought the medals you made were cookies (such a one track mind I have these days)! Making them as cookies might not be a bad idea either, though the medals would probably be eaten within an hour, and would hardly be a keepsake.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiration!

That is a great idea, unfortunately, I don't have little ones any longer. My teenagers would've eaten the dough all up. Love your site, it's very beautiful. Thanks for stopping by earlier.
